Summer Internship Program
The Advancing Excellence Summer Internship Program provides top multi-cultural students across the U.S. the opportunity to launch their careers with one of the world's leading financial services firm, through a prestigious summer rotational internship within Commercial Banking. Advancing Excellence is about recognizing and rewarding exceptional students - people with unique experiences and diverse backgrounds.
Our program is designed to develop and utilize financial and analytical skills while helping an intern sharpen his or her professional and business skills. Rotations are completed across two summers: The first summer rotation is open to students having successfully completed their sophomore year, with the second summer rotation following as a rising senior.
Based on satisfactory performance during Summer I and a maintained 3.2+ GPA, successful interns may qualify to earn a returning placement in our Summer Analyst Program (Summer II), along with return bonus award. Students successfully completing both summer rotations may also be eligible for a sign-on award for an accepted full-time offer of employment.
Summer I Banking Internship
This internship is a 10 week experience offering high visibility, significant levels of responsibility and opportunities for immediate impact. You will gain exposure to the relationship building aspect of our business. You will become an active member of a specific banking team, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing your knowledge, insight and ideas to the team. Through this banking internship, you will gain exposure on how our Bankers manage and retain profitable relationships with our clients/prospects, which helps them attain their goals and maximize our revenue.
Summer II Analyst Internship
After successful completion of Summer I a returning intern qualifies for placement in the Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program for Summer II. The program offers opportunities in the following business units within the Commercial Banking line of business: Middle Market Banking, Real Estate Banking, Chase Business Credit and Government, Not-for-Profit and Healthcare Banking. Summer analysts will work with other professionals as a team, drawing from the full spectrum of the firm’s resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet client needs. Responsibilities of a summer analyst may include underwriting (focused on credit and financial analysis), researching industries and markets, supporting the Banker and Underwriter and gaining client exposure. At the end of the 10 weeks, all interns are considered for a full-time position in the Commercial Bank Analyst Program and may also be eligible to participate in intern mobility programs for full-time positions across the firm.
Advancing Excellence offers students an unparalleled chance to develop financial skills and gain exposure to the Commercial Banking business through two summer internships. As an integral member of the Commercial Banking team, you will have challenging responsibilities and receive ongoing feedback. As a summer intern for two summers, you will be given opportunities to network with other interns, work with colleagues and senior managers and participate in training opportunities to sharpen both your professional and banking skills.

Summer I: Completed sophomore year of college
A cumulative GPA of 3.2+ must be maintained throughout both summers
Pursing a BS/BA degree (Business, Finance & Accounting preferred; all majors considered)
Superior analytical, quantitative, leadership, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills The proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Permanent and/or unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
