Society of Women in Business is excited to give a charitable contribution to a deserving organization this semester. For every $1 a member donates, SWB will donate $5 (up to $1,000). First, we must decide which organization we want to collect donations for throughout the semester. Click here to place your vote!Crisis Nursery:

Crisis Nursery creates an "Island of Safety" dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing 24-hour emergency care for children and support to strengthen families in crisis.

Eastern Illinois Foodbank:
The Eastern Illinois Foodbank exists to alleviate hunger in eastern Illinois by providing a reliable source of food for the hungry through cooperation with a network of food pantries and agencies. The Foodbank accepts donated and discounted food from a variety of sources and distributes it to 220 emergency food programs, such as food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.

Salt & Light:
Since 2004, we've been connecting families in need with the resources of a community that's been richly blessed. Our mission is simple - to share the love of God by helping those in need. Through our food pantry and clothing closet, we meet the immediate physical needs of families with limited financial resources. But our work doesn't end there. From financial counseling and education that teaches important budgeting concepts to voluntary worship services that feed the needs of the soul, we offer the salt and light that gives our community help and hope.

Susan G. Komen:
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the CureĀ® and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Susan G. Komen is the boldest community fueling the best science and making the biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested almost $2 billion to fulfill our promise, working to end breast cancer in the U.S. and throughout the world through ground-breaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 50 countries.

Women in Transition:
The Center for Women in Transition exists to empower women and their children. The agency provides housing and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness or who are victims of domestic violence. The Center has a long history of service in Champaign-Urbana, and we continue our work in our community by expanding the services we provide.
